Suspected leader of paris attack Abdelhamid Abaaoud died in raid

French prosecutors have confirmed that the Islamic State jihadist suspected of orchestrating the Paris attacks was killed in a major police raid.
Abdel-hamid Abaa-oud, a Belgian of Moroccan origin, was linked to a series of extremist plots in Europe over the past two years. "No doubt that Abdelhamid Abaaoud met a brutal death. His body was so riddled with bullets and shrapnel that forensics could only identify him through his fingerprints. And of course some 5,000 rounds of ammunition were used in that raid yesterday," CCTV reporter Dan Williams said. "Now the French interior minister has been having his say on the raid and having his say on the identification that Abaaoud had indeed been killed in that raid. He says that there is no doubt Abaaoud played a key role in the horrors of a week ago." "He says more of that will come out as the investigation continues. And he also says that this not the first time Abaaoud had planned terror attacks in France." "Of the six attacks prevented on French soil intelligent services since spring of 2015, Abdelhamid Abaaoud appears to be involved in four of them," said Bernard Cazeneuve, French Interior Minister.

Senate rejects proposal to payunemployed youth N5, 000monthly

The Senate on Wednesday rejected a motion for the payment of N5, 000 monthly allowance to unemployed youths in the country. The motion was sponsored by Philip Aduda (PDP, FCT) but was greeted with shouts of “no, no” when he tried to explain it. Attempts by the Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, to second the motion were disrupted by the rowdiness. Intervening, President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, posed the question but the senators responded along party lines. While Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members yelled ‘’aye’’ in favour of the motion, All Progressives Congress (APC) senators, who were in majority, rejected it. However, a motion calling for the probe of the utilisation of Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) funds by the immediate past administration was adopted by the senators. The sponsor of the motion, Babajide Omoworare, prayed that every naira spent by the past government on SURE- P a...

RAWLINGS, FORMER GHANIAN PRESIDENT ADVISES NIGERIANS!

JJ Rawlins: I can't believe that despite the setback of Nigeria as a result of a failed British experiment on that country, Nigeria is still very much in Love with them. Nigeria has everything it needs to be the greatest country not just in Africa but in the world the British knew about it. There are two things that can salvage Nigeria: the first is Nigeria must peacefully retire these old colonial leaders who are still servants to western imperialism, the second is Nigeria must restructure their country back to the days when it was regional system of government. Let every region develop at its own pace, build its resources and people. With this that country called Nigeria will be the greatest hub for the people of color in the world. -JJ. Rawlins former Ghanian President
