Turkey accused of trading oil with ISIL

The Syrian army has said it has information that Turkey is supporting militant
groups in Syria in exchange for stolen Syrian and Iraqi oil and artifacts. This is according to Syria's state news agency SANA.
Russian media have also been reporting Turkish involvement for some time, saying that President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's son is practically controlling the country's oil industry. Russian reports say he has been buying from terrorists on the black market and transporting the oil to several ports he owns.
On Thursday, Russian President Vladimir Putin urged Turkey to investigate whether large amounts of oil have been imported to the country from the Syrian regions currently controlled by ISIL. He said that the oil transported out from the Syrian border is on an industrial scale and fuel tankers have been entering Turkey day and night. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has denied the claims, insisting his country's fight against the jihadists is "undisputed". He said in an interview that if such claims are proven, he will resign. "Russian authorities shouldn't have made such remarks. We would never sell or purchase (oil) from terrorist organizations. They should prove this. The moment they prove it, Tayyip Erdogan will resign his post. But those who disseminate these lies, will they leave their posts as well?" Erdogan said .

The Senate on Wednesday rejected a motion for the payment of N5, 000 monthly allowance to unemployed youths in the country. Intervening, President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, posed the question but the senators responded along party lines. While Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members yelled ‘’aye’’ in favour of the motion, All Progressives Congress (APC) senators, who were in majority, rejected it. However, a motion calling for the probe of the utilisation of Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) funds by the immediate past administration was adopted by the senators. The sponsor of the motion, Babajide Omoworare, prayed that every naira spent by the past government on SURE- P a...

RAWLINGS, FORMER GHANIAN PRESIDENT ADVISES NIGERIANS!

JJ Rawlins: I can't believe that despite the setback of Nigeria as a result of a failed British experiment on that country, Nigeria is still very much in Love with them. Nigeria has everything it needs to be the greatest country not just in Africa but in the world the British knew about it. There are two things that can salvage Nigeria: the first is Nigeria must peacefully retire these old colonial leaders who are still servants to western imperialism, the second is Nigeria must restructure their country back to the days when it was regional system of government. Let every region develop at its own pace, build its resources and people. With this that country called Nigeria will be the greatest hub for the people of color in the world. -JJ. Rawlins former Ghanian President
